Wanted: Translators and etc…

Posted in News on December 27th, 2009 by May – Be the first to comment

We need Translators like pretty much any other groups in this end of year. We don’t really have much problem for which series they want to pick up, we’re ready for doing the job. We also got Hentai shows that needs to be subbed. So, to all you perverted out there.

Any other positions are also open. The current main staff members just experienced fansubbing since the start of this group, last October…

As for joint projects, just get on IRC or leave a message down this post. We are just mere fans who wants to contribute to the fansubs community. We know we can’t help at translating, but still, we can do other stuff.

Current Status of Fairy Tail: MIA of the Translator yet again. He’ll definitely be back but, who knows when…

*Will re-time the Karaoke and see what we can do to improve…

New Project Status:

- Lag issues => Possible that we re-encode the video once again at lower fps.

- Karaoke still need a TL check, but also a few lines.

- Lag issue #2 => We might consider doing hardsub on Karaoke and Typesetting effects.

Hiatus is almost over…

Current Status

Posted in News on December 6th, 2009 by May – Be the first to comment

It’s sad to say but this week will be a delayed release. Most of our staff were busy the whole week and only truly started working on this episode, 1 day before deadline day.

- The typesetting is done, since I’m the one in charge.

- Fine timing can’t be done till final encode.

- Editing because a lot of lines aren’t making any sense. And Lol @Flying Phoenix.

Update: This week, most of our staff are on their finals. Main Encoder wanted us to find another encoder since his ISP is failing on him. Translator is uber busy and we think we’ll take a slower pace. Besides, we technically aren’t a quality fansubs group, but a learning fansubs group. However, we seriously don’t plan on dropping even if we are behind by lots of episodes with our current pace.

What is happening this week…

Posted in News on November 29th, 2009 by May – 8 Comments

We already announced a little delay for the release since everyone is having real life issues. However, we somehow managed to get the work done this Saturday and if I finish up my typesetting work on Sunday, we just might release it at the usual time.

There’s still a problem this week. Our main encoder went MIA. We assume that he might have gotten hit by a typhoon (this is just refinder’s random theory that holds no grounds what-so-ever) since we kinda know where he is from… Therefore, we will use our backup encoder who is still learning and we’ll see what will happen when the main encoder gets in touch with us. The possibility of a v2 with his encode highly plausible. His encoding skills are terrific after all…

Also, most of us are students and the semester is ending quickly. You can already guess that we will be on exams in the upcoming weeks and we consider our personal lives more important than fansubbing, so have some patience for those who still follow us, we’ll definitely make it somehow.

About the fansub group, we are still recruiting, but only those who really intend to work with us every week. I hate quitters and I hate half-asses even more.  We did consider a joint project group idea but we really aren’t too keen over this just yet. I mean, we are truly newbies at fansubbing + who would we joint with?

Before I forget, we are recruiting in MOT, the Hentai fansub sub-division of Hiyono. The current project that we plan to finish before the end of the year is Kibun Kibun (Kibun^2) and the upcoming project after that is most likely Mizugi Kanojo. But we really need another translator before we can seriously work on those since our current one is kept plenty busy trying to get us the scripts for Fairy Tail on time every week.

A month of failure

Posted in News on November 9th, 2009 by May – 12 Comments

We failed many times, but this time, with the upcoming v2 covering the damages, we can be proud of ourselves.

In fact, we had to make a base of our release. 295mb minimum was the best we can downsize quality-wise.

Here’s a list of blender:

  • Font attachement: the size for this reached 30mb. We decided to change the fonts. Results were down to 1.62mb.
  • Encoder: Filtering made the video really sharp, compared to other fansubs video quality.
  • Karaoke out-sync: Timer decided to take that job despite his other positions… He’s really going for it!
  • Episode 1-2-3-4 V2: script is getting better, encoded version, re-re-time, still in wait this week.

With a skeleton to support our work, our consistency will be kept to maximum 7 days, else earlier than that.

Big thanks to Refinder and his perfectionist quality. He’s doing 65% of the job in this project somewhat…

I have been clumsy on the releases. Typo mistakes here and there, mid-terms still in the way…

Expect more improvements from us, and if someone can help, xdcc bot please?

Hiyono Fansubs site!

Picture 1 of 1

While the main page is slowly under development, we are gonna use this sub-page as fansubs posts instead of the blog one.

We seriously don’t know when our host will be done making the main page, but don’t expect it anytime soon.

As for xdcc bot, I got no idea how we will handle this…

Of course, improvement are sure to be done in this site too.

Be patient, none of us except the new encoder got any fansubs experience…
