That mistake with Heathcliff’s name (seriously, none of us knew that was a name before doing this project) has been fixed. A few other little tweaks to the script, nothing that I think any of you will notice unless you compare the scripts side by side though.

News updates:

• May: I’m going to switch ISP, so I’ll be off internet for a little while. With school and the early bird job, I don’t really have any free time. Fairy Tail will be delayed, but don’t worry, we plan on catching up quickly once everyone’s schedules get better. Additionally, she’s now in some painful financial trouble from that BD purchase…
• Air Gear OVA is gonna be delayed, because of the reason above.
• The first batch torrent of Fairy Tail is slowly coming together, our QC lead for it just doesn’t have much time because of his job right now..

Not the version I’d keep for archiving, but until we get a BD raw (we’re working on it) to make our 1080p and 720p encodes, it’ll be the only one we can release. It’s not horrible like the first release we did for OVA 2 (messed up sound), but it’s not all that great either.

Took awhile get it ’cause real life and stuff. If you catch any mistakes, feel free to tell us about them and we’ll fix them for the 720p and 1080p versions (whenever we get the BD raw).

As things are now, we still plan on doing the 4koma theater, but May doesn’t have time (or just doesn’t want to do it) for the typesetting. The plan is to release them as we get them done on IRC and then once all of them are subbed (they are not all out yet) release a batch torrent.

It’s based on two extra/bonus/omake chapters: Tales of the Master and What if Fullmetal Alchemist were a love comedy? Please make sure to watch from start to end… you’ll miss out on a certain “fated encounter” otherwise.

Notes:

Next OVA comes out in August, probably around the 20s of August. This is just my speculation, so don’t read much into it, but I think it’s going to be based on “On the battle field once more” and, if so, we might get to see the rest of the annihilation campaign animated.

The third OVA is coming out in April. We’d like a Raw Capper for this no matter what means you gotta use.

With the third OVA special coming up, we figured (I forced our editor) to work on this episode. Nevertheless, those who didn’t read the manga should always welcome those shorts side stories as they aren’t completely filler. In fact, what’s a filler episode? An episode where the manga author didn’t participate in the storyboard? Or just because it doesn’t follow the actual storyline that we can consider this a filler episode?

We made some script corrections since the first version.

For a 1080p release, it will depend on the amount of people asking it.

Also, about that whole Majin-Hiyono thing with them taking our subs from the low quality release and putting them on a higher quality video I keep hearing about, we had nothing to do with that nor do we really care about that at this point since this release has an updated script.

If you didn’t know about that already, then don’t even bother committing it to memory.

Extra Credits to

• Eclipse Productions for their fonts. (Why bother changing fonts when most of us watch their weekly releases?)
• Refinder for the extra effort on re-timing it.
• Seeker1458 for encoding Blu-Ray as a first.
• Mouryou to keep on living the dead channel.

We are aware of the three first frames, but we didn’t cut them out since it would mess up the video’s sync with the audio and so on… This is also the only DVDrip we have found so far. We filtered it to try meeting a better quality standard, but it’s still not that great (audio is bad with noise, better than the original raw in both video and audio quality, but we can only do so much to it). If we get a better Raw or a BluRay version, we’ll defiantly make a v2.

As for the actual content of the OVA (included in the second installment of the FMA Brotherhood DVDs released Dec. 23rd, 2009) it’s a side story about simple events in the main character’s lives.

As you may notice, Qashqai did most of the work. Qashqai is a member of BUTAZARU, a Polish subbing group for Brotherhood, who posted the original English script on one of her live journal pages and asked others to help edit it. So I got to editing it and asked if the group I was in could release it, she agreed and continued working with us. You can also see whoever else might have had a hand in editing it on that page (our script is even more edited than the most current one there though).
